






Capacity side, according to incomplete statistics, the domestic alkaline electrolyzer market remained at 43.77 GW, with no new capacity added for now.
This week, public information showed thatHydro Hui Energy successfully shipped three MW-level PEM electrolyzers to Europe, though specific shipment data was not disclosed.
Past delivery updates:
Sany Hydrogen successfully completed deliveries for two major projects: the Shenzhen Energy Otog Banner project and the Jidian Yancheng Green Hydrogen Production, Storage, Transportation, Refueling, and Utilization Integrated project. A total of 20 alkaline electrolyzers, each with a capacity of 1,000 Nm³/h, were delivered.
Accelera, under Cummins, delivered a 35-megawatt (MW) proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer system to Linde Group's under-construction green hydrogen plant in Niagara Falls, New York.
Guofu Hydrogen Energy successfully shipped a 10 Nm³/h hydrogen production unit and a 10 kW fuel cell combined heat and power system to the Morocco Clean Hydrogen Center of Excellence.
Peric Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Handan), under the 718th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, completed the final shipping and loading of ten 1,000 Nm³/h electrolyzers, totaling 50 MW, which formally departed from Lianyungang Port for Piraeus Port, Greece.
The 10,000 Nm³/h electrolyzer awarded in Sany Hydrogen's Shenzhen Energy Otog Banner Wind-Solar Hydrogen Production Integrated Green Ammonia Project was successfully shipped.
Thirteen independently developed 1,000 Nm³/h electrolyzers from CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd. were formally shipped and are being delivered progressively for the Guohua Cangzhou "Green Port Hydrogen City" project.
The 50 Nm³/h water electrolysis product supplied by Guofu Hydrogen Energy for the TNB-PCSS green hydrogen demonstration project of Malaysia's national power grid has been successfully shipped to Shanghai Port.
Winshi Hydrogen successfully shipped an AEM hydrogen production system to Austria.
As of September 25, 2025, domestic enterprises (including overseas deliveries) delivered a total of 365.85 MW of alkaline electrolyzers in Q2 (data sourced from public information and SMM surveys).
Electrolyzer project updates:
Yan'an Energy Baoqing Fine Chemicals Technology Development Co., Ltd.:The Yan'an, Shaanxi, 20,000 m³/h New Energy Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Project obtained filing approval. The project has a total investment of 380 million yuan and plans to construct 20 hydrogen production electrolyzers (1,000 Nm³/h each), 2 hydrogen purification units (1,000 Nm³/h each), and 1 hydrogen compression unit.
Zhongtian Chuanghe:The tender results for the water electrolyzers (alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production, 1,000–1,500 Nm³/h) for the Zhongtian Chuanghe Ordos Coal Chemical Project were announced. The shortlisted candidates were Xi'an LONGi Hydrogen Technology Co., Ltd., Sany Hydrogen Co., Ltd., and Huadian Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. The tender involved 48 alkaline electrolyzers (1,000–1,500 Nm³/h).
Jilin Electric Power Co., Ltd.:Jilin Electric Power Co., Ltd. issued a tender for alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment for its Lishu Wind-Solar Green Hydrogen Biomass Coupling Green Methanol Project. Section 1 includes 12 alkaline electrolyzers (1,000 Nm³/h) and 3 gas-liquid separation skids (4,000 Nm³/h); Section 2 includes 16 alkaline electrolyzers (1,000 Nm³/h), 1 alkaline electrolyzer (4,000 Nm³/h), and 3 gas-liquid separation skids (4,000 Nm³/h).
Qingyang Kaishaoda Hydrogen Equipment Co., Ltd.:Issued a tender announcement for the EPC engineering procurement construction of a GW-scale water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment automated production project. The project is located in Gansu Province and involves the construction of 9 new buildings with a total floor area of 237,311.88 m².
Cornell Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.:The 300,000 mt/year Sustainable Aviation Fuel Project obtained filing approval. The project will externally purchase 900,000 mt of green methanol, utilize the existing 300,000 mt/year methanol-to-olefins production facility, and construct new units including an oligomerization unit, ultimately achieving an annual output of 300,000 mt of green aviation kerosene. By-products include 10,000 mt/year of renewable naphtha and 5,000 mt/year of diesel blending components.
Zhongneng Yida (Hebei) New Energy Co., Ltd.:Issued a tender for the installation subcontracting of the hydrogenation unit for the new 400,000 mt/year Sustainable Aviation Fuel Hydrogenation Project. Construction scope includes one 400,000 mt/year sustainable aviation fuel hydrogenation unit, a supporting 3,000 Nm³/h hydrogen production unit, a sulfur recovery complex (including a 12 mt/h sour water stripper and a 200 mt/year sulfur recovery unit), and main supporting utilities.
Inner Mongolia Egoal Energy Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.:The 320,000 mt/year Green Methanol Technological Transformation Project obtained filing approval. The total project investment is 190.1 million yuan; the construction site is the Dalu Industrial Park, Jungar Banner, Ordos City; the scale involves preprocessing 240,000 mt of biomass carbon raw material to produce 140,000 mt of conventional methanol and 180,000 mt of green methanol annually.
Policy Review
1. The first hydrogen energy standard for the energy industry, NB/T 11810-2025 "Code for Preparation of Renewable Energy Power Hydrogen Production Engineering Planning Reports," compiled under the direction of the China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, was officially released and will take effect on December 30, 2025.
2. The European Commission approved a €4 billion electrolyzer special fund, providing a 30% equipment cost subsidy for projects with an annual capacity of ≥500 MW, and set a 2030 efficiency target for green hydrogen project electrolyzers of ≥60% (LHV basis).
3. The European Commission issued the "Clean Industrial Protocol National Aid Framework," which explicitly requires member states to prioritize support for "Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin" (RFNBOs) and ensures public resources are directed toward low-carbon technologies through details such as fund allocation ratios and project timelines.

1. Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (China) disclosed patent CN2025110028, developing a ceramic-based anion exchange membrane with a laboratory-tested lifespan of 80,000 hours.
2. Johnson Matthey (UK) filed patent WO2025109876, disclosing a Fe-Ni-Mo ternary non-precious metal catalyst formulation with activity close to platinum-based materials.
Technology Footprints/Specifications
1. China Association for Promoting International Development (CAPID) officially released the group standard "Multi-Pulse Thyristor Rectifiers for Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production" (Standard No. T/CAPID013—2025). The standard specifies technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage for multi-pulse thyristor rectifiers used in water electrolysis hydrogen production.
2. The group standard "Technical Specification for Wind-Solar-ESS Green Electricity Coupling Electrolysis Hydrogen Production" (No. T/CIEP 0272—2025) was issued and implemented by the China Industrial Environmental Protection Association. Zhongneng Dayou Energy Technology Co., Ltd. successfully developed a 100 kW-class PEM electrolyzer hydrogen production multi-field coupling test equipment.
3. GKN Powder Metallurgy announced the development of a new generation of high-performance, high-porosity, high-purity porous transport layers (HP-PTL) for proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis.
4. The first 220 kW high-safety solid-state hydrogen storage fuel cell emergency power generation system was officially launched and put into application demonstration at the Microgrid Union Wi-Fi Smart Terminal Industrial Park. This achievement marks a major breakthrough in China's localization of core equipment in the hydrogen emergency power supply field.
5. Tongda Electromagnetic Energy Co., Ltd. independently developed and manufactured China's first off-grid medium-voltage DC 20 kV direct-hanging hydrogen production power supply (also known as "Hydrogen One") successfully applied.
6. Nel Hydrogen (Norway) launched the new-generation PEM electrolyzer HySyner500, with current density increased to 5 A/cm² and material cost per unit capacity reduced by 22%.
7. The offshore wind power PEM hydrogen production and storage system sea trial, delivered by Shanghai Hydrosun Creation Energy Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully implemented at the Sanya Yazhou Bay offshore test site.
8. Hunan Longshen Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. launched a PEM water electrolysis sheet extrusion coater, significantly reducing the cost of expensive catalyst raw materials.
9. The kick-off meeting for the landmark project "Split Module-Type Seawater Direct Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Technology and System Equipment" under the Guangdong Provincial Key R&D Program in the "New-Type Energy Storage and New Energy" field was grandly held at Shenzhen University.
10. HydroGen Innovations released a megawatt-scale carbon composite plate stack at the 5th H₂-Eco International Hydrogen Ecology Annual Conference.
